Planning this NJ studio maternity session session was an absolute treat!
When Carelys reached out for her maternity session, I knew we were going to create something truly special. Set in the heart of Morris County, her session was a beautiful celebration of motherhood—elegant, emotional, and designed to feel like fine art. As a North Jersey maternity photographer, I’m always honored to create timeless portraits that my clients can display in their homes and pass down for generations.
I always love when clients have a vision, but I feel truly honored when clients just trust and follow my lead. Having an instant connection with my client is an important part of the process. I try to ease any concerns or worries to make the photography experience a great one! Getting to now each client is very important too because, while I want to bring the most empowered and confident images to life, I take into consideration style and vision of the images goals. If we want a portrait for their living room, they probably wont feel great with a full nude receiving every person at home for years to come right?
This sweet client wanted pinks and florals for her session. We decided on this dress that just arrived to our Lincoln Park, NJ studio and fit like a glove on her! This was going to be "the shot” dress. All clients have that one dress that will be the main character in their session, a statement piece.
Even though they weren’t fully comfortable with nude images, they did one set up as a favor for me and they ended up loving it! The pearled chiffon cape was the perfect piece for her as its delicate and classic. We wanted to keep everything not too “out there”.
