Baby Milestone Sessions

Milestone sessions are designed to honor the quiet, in-between stages of your baby’s first year—the ones that often pass without much notice, yet hold so much meaning. From sitting and crawling to standing and those fleeting expressions that appear for only a moment during their first year of life. Typically, these sessions are done at 4 months, 6-8 months, and when they turn 1 year old.

Each milestone session is calm, simple, and intentionally styled, allowing your baby’s personality to shine without distraction. The result is a collection of timeless portraits that celebrate growth, curiosity, and the beauty of watching your child become who they are meant to be.

Milestone Session FAQ’s

Milestone sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate your baby's growth throughout their first year. Some of my favorite stages to photograph are around 3–4 months, when babies begin lifting their heads; 6–9 months, when they can often sit independently; and their first birthday. Every baby develops at their own pace, so we'll choose the timing that best captures their new accomplishments and emerging personality.
I love keeping milestone portraits simple so your baby's expressions and personality take center stage. Soft textures, neutral colors, and classic outfits photograph beautifully. We'll discuss wardrobe options before your session so everything complements the look we're creating. I do have a selection of rompers and outfits for these sessions.
Babies have their own schedules, and that's perfectly okay! I recommend planning the session around your baby's usual nap and feeding times whenever possible. If they need a little break, some cuddles, or a snack, we'll make time for it.
Absolutely! Many families love documenting several milestones throughout their baby's first year. I offer a Grow with Me bundle package that includes Newborn, Sitter, and First Year sessions, and the best part is that you save when booked together, and there's no need to worry about my calendar being full!
